Leonet M. (Girard) Couture, 60, of 31 Hospital Road, Baldwinville, died Monday, April 23rd in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a short illness.
Born in Gardner on October 15, 1946, she was the daughter of Leo and the late Theresa (Brouilett) Girard.
Leonet was a stitcher, employed by LaRoche Brothers, Gardner, for 13 years, retiring in 2004. She was previously employed by Collier Keyworth.
Leonet was very generous to many local and national organizations. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She was also an excellent seamstress.
Besides her father, Leo Girard of Winchendon, she leaves her husband of 20 years, Ernest D. Couture of Baldwinville; 4 daughters, Annette M. LeBlanc and her husband George of Gardner, Rebecca M. Rogers of Gardner, Christine M. Fiore and her husband John of Sterling and Terrie M. Rogers of Gardner; 1 step-daughter, Sara Couture and 1 step-son, Paul Couture both of Colorado Springs, CO; 1 brother, Leonel Girard and his wife Linda of Gardner; 1 half-sister, Michelle Comeau and her husband Donald of Winchendon; 7 grandchildren, Tiffianie L.S.M. LeBlanc, Corey A. Vining, Samantha J.M. LeBlanc, Cotey J. Cerasale, Dalton M. Sargent, Collin E. Girard and Kolbey S. Ellis; two nieces, Michelle and Melissa Girard; two nephews, Jordan and Tyler Comeau, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Thursday, April 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
