Leonard Duguay

Leonard Duguay, 86, of 18 Norman Street, Gardner died peacefully, Friday, March 30, 2012 in UMass Memorial Medical Center-55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, surrounded by his family.
Born in Lameque, N.B. Canada on January 9, 1926, he was the son of the late Octave and Vezina (Savoie) Duguay.
Leonard was a Machinist employed by Simplex Time Recorder of Gardner for 30 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. He was also a member of the Acadien Social Club of Gardner where he enjoyed spending time with his friends.
Leonard's hobbies included working outdoors and cooking. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren and family.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Zenobie (Noel) Duguay of Gardner; two daughters, Rita V. Cyr and her husband Michael of Canandaigua, NY and Rachel A. Johnson and her husband Thomas of Templeton; one son-in-law, David Blake of Gardner; one brother, Jean Eude Duguay of Canada; six sisters, Simonne Paulin, Edith Latagne, Berthe Hache, Yvette Larocque, Claire Savoie Humbert and Gabrielle Duguay all of Lameque, N.B. Canada; six grandchildren, Vanessa, Corinne and Andrea Blake, Kendall Cyr and Natalie and Noah Johnson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa D. Blake who died in 2010; three brothers, Gerard, Arsene and Valmont Duguay; and by two sisters, Gertrude Chiasson and Jeanne-d'Arc Chiasson.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 3rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, April 2nd from 6:00 pm to 8 pm.
