Leonard J. d'Entremont, 80, of 35 Fruit St., Worcester, and formerly of Fitchburg and Gardner, died Tuesday, April 1st in West Side House of Worcester, following a long illness.
Born in Reading on June 27, 1927, he was the son of Pius and Esther (d'Entremont) d'Entremont.
Leonard was an electronics technician employed at GEN RAD of Concord for several years. He was previously an upholsterer employed at various manufacturing companies.
He was a 1945 graduate of Gardner High School. Leonard was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and was a Third Degree Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, Council #396 of Gardner. Leonard was a collector of model automobiles and enjoyed building model ships.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and received the World War II Victory Medal.
He leaves a brother, Adelbert L. d'Entremont and his wife Cecilia of Northboro; 2 sisters, Catherine Bennett and her husband Walter of Tampa, FL, Pauline Surette and her husband Charles of Dracut; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine d'Entremont.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial of cremains will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Monday, April 7th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to House of Peace and Education, 20 Barthel Ave., Gardner, MA or to a charity of the donor's choice.
