Leona M. (Allain) Gallant, 86, of 103 Ryan St., Gardner died peacefully Monday, May 29th surrounded by her family in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, Canada on December 10, 1919, she was the daughter of Octave and Mary Anne (LeBlanc) Allain.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking bread, making blankets, outdoor activities, spending time with family and traveling, especially trips to Canada.
She leaves her husband of 66 years, Expedit Gallant of Gardner; 3 sons, Melvin Gallant and wife Patricia, Paul Gallant and wife Dolores all of Gardner, Andrew Gallant and wife Linda of Templeton; 3 daughters, Leonette Lison and husband Gene of Springvale, ME, Lola Meskauskas and husband Daniel of E. Templeton, Lisa Smith and husband Michael of Rindge, NH; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son Wesley Gallant, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, May 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
