Leon Paul Fredette, 92, of Templeton, died peacefully Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in his home after a short illness.
Born in Gardner on February 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Leon J. and Victoria (Norskey) Fredette. He graduated from Templeton High School with the Class of 1947, and from Worcester Boys Trade School with a Degree in Drafting and Mechanical Engineering with the Class of 1950. Paul was a United States Air Force Korean War Veteran serving from 1951 to 1955, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a Sales Engineer employed by Rodney Hunt Co. of Orange for 40 years, prior to his retirement.
Paul loved to travel and had a passion for cars. He was an avid outdoorsman who was always able to find the tranquility nature provided.
Paul is survived by his brother, Douglas D. Fredette and his wife Barbara of Albany, Oregon, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his loving, faithful, four-legged companion, Lady Sadie II.
He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Irene C. (Harrington) Fredette, who died in 2008, his brother, James E. Fredette, and his beloved dog of 15 years, Lady Sadie I.
Calling Hours will be held September 15th, 2022, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with Time of Reflection from 1:00pm-1:30pm in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01440.
