Leo A Dube

Leo A. Dube, 85, of E. Templeton, died peacefully Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Keystone Center of Leominster, following a long illness.
Leo was born in Rumford, Maine on October 8, 1931. He was the son of the late Adrien and Laurette (Plourde) Dube.
Following graduation from Orange High School, Leo proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He received the Navy Occupation Service Medal with European Clasp and the National Defense Service Medal.
Leo was employed as a Supervisor of the Mechanical Inspection Department for M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA for 21 years, retiring in 2003.
He was a member of Holy Cross Church of E. Templeton. Leo was also a member of the V.F.W. 905 Ovila Case of Gardner, the American Legion Roger P. Warfield #373 of Baldwinville, the Metronome Club of Gardner and the Polish American Citizens Club of Gardner.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and traveling. He was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Leo treasured spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his former wife Sylvia H. (Roy) Dube who died in 2014, and by his significant other Barbara M. Stanley who died in 2009.
Leo leaves four sons, David H. Dube of Gardner, Michael R. Dube of Florida, Thomas E. Dube and his wife Heather of Winchendon and Christopher R. Dube and his wife Jessica of Winchendon; one daughter, Denise G. Woodward and her husband Scott of Templeton; one sister, Lorraine Murdoch and her husband Art of Barre; one sister-in-law, Caroline Dube of Columbia, MO; one brother-in-law, Henry Zablonski of Gardner; ten grandchildren, Joel Dube, Lauren Lambert, Ross Dube, Eric Dube, Aaron Dube, Rhiana Kellie, Merissa Dube, Jacob Dube, Geneveve Dube and Xachary Dube; five great-grandchildren, Madison Dube, Lanxton Dube, Archer Dube, Annalisa Lahtinen and Avery Lambert; several nieces, nephews and cousins. His grandson, Taylor Lahtinen died October 18, 2016. He was predeceased by his son, John H. Dube who died in 2008; brother, Roland Dube; and sister, Alice Zablonski.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 31st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Avenue, E. Templeton. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Monday, October 31st from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
