Lena M. (LeBlanc) Cormier, 99, of Gardner, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness.
Born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, on January 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alvina (Melanson) LeBlanc. Lena was a decorator employed by Nichols & Stone Company of Gardner for 39-years until her retirement in 1988.
Lena was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and was a member of its Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. She was a member of the Two Hearts as One Square Dancing Group, the Templeton Fish and Game Club, Inc. and the Gardner Golden Agers.
Lena was predeceased by her husband of 66-years Lionel J. Cormier, who died in 2011; a son, Rheal J. Cormier, who died in 1986; a daughter, Diane M. Cormier, who died in 1963; her grandson, Justin J. Cormier, who died in 2011; three sisters, Anna Bourgeois, Marie Legere, and Ronalda Saulnier; and three brothers, Eric, Edmond and Arthur LeBlanc.
She is survived by three great-grandchildren, Haylie, Maison, Kaydince Cormier; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
There are no calling hours.
