Leatrice P. (Royer) Jaillet, 83, of 55 Betty Spring Road, Gardner died Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, surrounded by her family, following a long illness.
Born in Quebec, Canada on March 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Diana (Houde) Royer.
Leatrice graduated from Gardner High School of Gardner with the Class of 1949.
She was employed as a mail room clerk by Digital Equipment Corporation of Westminster for 23 years, retiring in 1996. She was previously employed by National Reed Furniture Inc. of Gardner as an upholsterer, and by City Market as a cashier.
Leatrice was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
She enjoyed walking, reading Historical novels and making rosary beads for the missions. Leatrice was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Raymond J. Jaillet, of Gardner; three sons, Michael A. Jaillet and his wife Deborah of Sharon, MA, Richard A. Jaillet and his wife Elaine of Ogden, Utah and Rene A. Jaillet and his wife Brenda of Templeton; two sisters, Suzette Croteau and her husband Gregoire of Gardner and Aline Richard of Gardner; two sisters-in-law, Jane Royer of Templeton and Monique Royer of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Steven, Meghann and Geoffrey Jaillet, Nicole Moon, and Mark and Whitney Jaillet; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Hunter and Mathew Moon and Nathan and Leslie Jaillet; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Damien and Harold Royer; and by four sisters, Benoit Brassard, Monique Alton, Jeanne Desrosier and Grace Cormier.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 26th at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner or to a charity of the donor's choice.
