Laura M. Ringuette

July 18, 1913 — November 19, 2005

Laura M. (Bettey) Ringuette, 92, of 8 Dolbier Hill Rd., Templeton, and formerly of 93 Greenwood St., Gardner, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 19th in her residence.

Born in Gardner on July 18, 1913, she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Burns) Bettey.

She was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger until retiring in 1996. She was previously employed at the former Florence Stove Co. and O.W. Siebert Co., both of Gardner.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She played the organ, banjo, mandolin, guitar and played piano in a band with her brother-in-law, Billy Saulnier. She enjoyed playing solitaire, rummy, dancing, sewing, arts & crafts, and made uniforms for Holy Rosary School many years ago. She raced in the Powder Puff Car Race and operated Bert's Live Lobster in South Gardner during the late 1950's. She enjoyed Christmas Eve and loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren.

Her husband of 15 years, Rudolph Ringuette, died in 1960.

She leaves 1 son, Bertrande C.J. Ringuette and wife Sally (Goodwin) of Templeton with whom she lived, 5 daughters, Gloria Fournier, Dorilla Pasakinskas and husband Alphonse, Sheila Cormier and husband Yvon all of Gardner, Nancy Allain of Lake Worth, FL, Rachel Menegoni and husband Anthony of Barre; 1 sister, Alma Gates of Gardner; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great-greatgrandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Cynthia Ringuette, 2 brothers, Romeo and Leo Bettey and 3 sisters, Rosabelle Cosentino, Blanche Parviainen and Jane Saulnier.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Wednesday, November 23rd from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
