Laura M. (LeBlanc) Cormier, 88, of 265 West St., Gardner, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 11th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Born in Shediac, NB, Canada on May 4, 1920, she was the daughter of Philippe and Marie-Jeanne (Boudreau) LeBlanc.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society. Mrs. Cormier was a loyal fan of the Montreal
Canadiens Hockey Team. She enjoyed watching soap operas, playing guitar and was a marvelous housekeeper.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, Ernest J. Cormier of Gardner; two sons, George J. Cormier of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada and Philip J. Cormier of Gardner; two daughters, Emelie M. Boudreau and her husband Thomas of Winchendon and Sarah M. Cappiello and her husband Gregory of Winchendon; one grandson, Thomas M. Boudreau, Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers, Arthur, Eric, Auguste and Emile LeBlanc; and by five sisters, Edna LeBlanc, Eva LeBlanc, Marguerite Dawson, Exelda Doiron and Jeanne Luce.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Thursday, December 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
