Kevin J Godin

Kevin J. Godin, 49, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Gardner, MA died unexpectedly Sunday, August 7, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Kevin was born in Fitchburg, MA on August 27, 1961, the son of the late Joseph E. and Rachel C. (Melanson) Godin.
At the time of his death he was an Inter-State Truck Driver.
Kevin graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the Class of 1979. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner, and the Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center in Gardner.
He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and received the MIGAI Rifle, Marksman Shooting Badge, the Navy Unit Commendation, the Service Deployment Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal.
Kevin enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved to travel, was an avid reader and handyman.
He leaves two sisters, Marie A. Lajoie and her husband Gerald of Royalston and Kelly A. Blanchette and her husband James of Gardner; one aunt, Lorraine Manca; three uncles, Arthur "Goog" Melanson, Robert Melanson and Raymond Melanson; two nieces, Nichol Hart and Jenna Pereira; two nephews, Jody Lajoie and Kyle Blanchette; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service and burial will be held Thursday, October 6th at 3:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Road, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
