Kevin L Girouard

Kevin L. Girouard, 56, of Andreas, PA and formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's, Bethlehem, PA, following a brief illness.
Kevin was born in Gardner on June 25, 1954, the son of James and Teresa (Ballester) Girouard of Gardner.
He graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1972. He received an Associates Degree in Social Studies in 1974, and in 1976 received his degree as an Licensed Practical Nurse, from Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
Over the years Kevin was employed by various nursing homes in Carbon and Schuylkill counties in Pennsylvania as an activities coordinator.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner.
Kevin's hobbies included reading, traveling, ceramics and needlepoint. He was a talented artist. He was a fan of Julia Childs, and enjoyed watching Jeopardy on television. Kevin loved cats.
Besides his mother and father, he leaves two sons, Joshua J. Girouard and his wife Susan of Gardner and Jordan Girouard and his wife Amy Eklund of Gardner; one brother, James J. "Chip" Girouard and his wife Ingrid of Nashua, NH; on grandson, Holden J. Girouard and two step-grandchildren, James J. and Jeremy A. Girouard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kevin also leaves his dear friend Jack Hoffman of Andreas, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 27th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
