He graduated and was a proud alumnus of Gardner High School with the Class of 1959, where he was a member of the 1958 undefeated football team. Ken was a police officer for the Gardner Police Department, graduated from the Massachusetts Police Academy in 1968, and later became a detective until his retirement in 1987. He was a member and past president of the Greater Gardner Jaycees, member and past president of the Gardner Lions Club, a chairman of the Board of Directors of North Central Human Services, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Ken was an avid fisherman and loved candlepin bowling. He loved watching sports, and especially enjoyed his New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed reading, golfing, and traveling – especially to Moosehead Lake and Pemaquid in Maine with his family and cruises with his wife and dear friends.

Ken is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcia A. (Stuckey) Stone, of Gardner; two sons, Gregory J. Stone and his wife Jennifer L. (Saunders) Stone of York, ME, and Andrew C.
