Kenneth A. Flagler, better known as "Papa", 68, of 22 Rice Road, Templeton, died Wednesday, October 17th in the Life Care Center of Leominster, following an illness.
Born in Clifton Park, NY on September 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Elmer Oscar and Eleanor M. (Hammond) Flagler.
Kenneth was a machine operator employed by Simplex Time Recorder, Gardner for 20 years, retiring recently.
He was a 1958 graduate of Shenendowha High School, New York.
Kenneth was a member of the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church, Gardner. He was also a member of the Gardner Hope Lodge of Masons.
Kenneth was a United States Vietnam War Army Veteran and received the Good Conduct Medal, the Marksman Ribbon and the Sharpshooter Ribbon.
He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, building and racing cars. Kenneth always kept busy helping others. He most enjoyed time spent with his family.
He leaves his wife of 42 years, Audrey A. (Cochrane) Flagler of Templeton; one son, Michael Kenneth Flagler and his wife Jennifer of Templeton; one daughter, Michele A. Poland and her husband Brian of Cincinnati, OH; two brothers, Glen Flagler of Schenectady, NY and David Flagler of Tuscumbia, AL; two sisters, Gloria Blodgett of Saratoga, NY and Norma Pellechia and her husband David of Leominster; five grandchildren, Jessie and Matthew Flagler of Templeton, Nicholas Mustakangas, Brianna and Sarah Poland all of Monroe, OH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
According to his wishes, there are no funeral services.
