Keith C. "K.C." Fletcher, 63, of 71 Jean Street, Gardner, formerly of Baldwinville, died suddenly Monday, August 15, 2011 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after being stricken ill in his residence.
He was born in Gardner on April 16, 1948, the son of the late Louis H. Fletcher, D.D.S. and Elizabeth J. (Casey) Fletcher.
Keith graduated from Narragansett Regional High School, Templeton with the Class of 1966. He later graduated from Marietta College, Marietta, OH with a B.S. in Geology and the University of MA, Amherst with a B.A. in Anthropology and a Minor in Spanish.
Prior to retiring, he was employed by Simplex Time Recorder, Westminster in the Production Department. He was previously employed in the Production Department of Temple Stuart Company, Baldwinville.
Keith was a United States Vietnam War Navy Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner. Keith was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Gardner and the V.F.W. Post 905 of Gardner.
He enjoyed spending time reading, writing poetry and was a very talented artist. He loved science fiction and horror movies. Keith's two children were his world, and he treasured spending time with them.
Keith leaves one son, Luke Louis Fletcher of Gardner; one daughter, Brooke Charland Fletcher of Baldwinville; one brother, William G. Fletcher of Gardner; one sister, Maureen T. Landry and her husband Raymond of Westminster; four nieces, Alexandria M. Fletcher, Amanda M. Landsman, Alison E. Waite and Vanessa L. Landry; and one nephew, Clayton A. Landry. He also leaves his former wife, Kimberly Charland Mustakangas of Baldwinville. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Denise E. (Brewer) Fletcher who died in 1990.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner, at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, August 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
