Kathleen A. (Elola) Maillet, 76, of 15 Old County Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Friday, May 29, 2015 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center of Worcester, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
Kathleen was born in Gardner on July 6, 1939, the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Kurikka) Elola.
She graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1956.
Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who spent her life caring for her family. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and spending time her family. Kathleen was an avid reader who belonged to several book clubs over the years.
She leaves her husband of 57 years, Ulysse Maillet of Winchendon; two sons, Jeffrey Maillet of Winchendon and Brian and his wife Christy of Knoxville, TN; one daughter, Tina Tanguay and her husband Brian of Templeton; one daughter-in-law, Adrienne Maillet of Clinton; one brother, Albert Elola and his wife Rita of Winchendon; one sister, Alice Jarvenpaa and her husband Eino of Westminster; four grandchildren, Kurt, and his wife Courtney, Seth and his fiance Arianna Jean Winters, Anthony, and Ashley and her husband Matt Molnar; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Randall J. Maillet; one brother Robert Elola and by four sisters, Elsie Sillanpaa, Edith Boucher, Elaine Thomas and Judy Bernard.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 4th at 5:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Reverend David Cote will officiate.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, June 4th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 Fifth Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
