Kathleen L."Kathy" Hines

Kathleen L. "Kathy" (Hunter) Hines, 73, of 50 King Phillip Trail, Templeton, died peacefully Saturday, March 8th in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville, surrounded by her family.

Born in Gardner on April 7, 1934, she was the daughter of Robert and Katherine (Garvey) Hunter.

Kathy was a homemaker and was a sales representative for Avon products.

She was a 1952 graduate of Templeton High School. Kathy was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Gardner and was active in its Christmas fairs and craft fairs. She enjoyed making all occasion cards, gardening, reading and traveling with her husband throughout the entire country. She was secretary to her husband from 1970 to 2001.

She leaves her husband of 51 years, Arthur S. Hines of Templeton; 2 sons, Michael A. Hines of Holyoke, Jim A. Hines of Baldwinville; 2 daughters, Cyndi M. Flanagan and her husband Sean of Templeton, Debbie A. Bettez and her husband Robert of Gardner; 2 brothers, Robert Hunter and his wife Shirley of Athol, Richard Hunter and his wife Sherry of Boca Raton, FL; 1 sister, Elaine McKay and her husband Donald of Hubbardston; 6 grandchildren, Bryan Coe Jr., Tim Coe, Joshua, Sarah and B.J. Bettez all of Gardner, Cassandra Hines of Holyoke; 5 great-grandchildren, Zachary Coe, Cassie Girouard, Dylan and Kaylee Coe, Jaiden Fitzgerald all of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15th at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 79 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will be at a later date in the MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

Calling hours at the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner are Friday, March 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
