Kathleen M. "Kate" Grenier, 66, of Hubbardston, died suddenly Friday, December 16, 2016 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on October 25, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Jack P. and Harriette B. (Reinhalter) Loughman.
Kathleen was employed by Ex-U-Rope Company, Inc. of Hubbardston for 20 years, retiring in 2012. During her employment she made jump ropes which the company supplied to the American Heart Association's "Jump Rope for Heart" program.
Kathleen graduated from Barnstable High School with the Class of 1969.
She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, was a talented painter, and loved swimming. Kathleen treasured spending time with her granddaughter Lyla who called her "Nonni", and was the light of her life.
She leaves one son, Maxamillian W. Grenier of Hubbardston; two daughters, Alexis B. Probasco and her husband Troy of Fitchburg and Zephreney Parmenter of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Brian Loughman of Hoboken, NY; one sister, Denise Feighery of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Lyla Grace Probasco and Bailey Probasco; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Kevin Loughman.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Fr. Fred Fraini III will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in Brookside Cemetery, Hubbardston.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
