Kathleen Bumbaco

Katherine (Kathleen) Bumbaco, nee. Osborne, 89, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024. 

Born May 15, 1935 to Arthur Osborne and Loretta Stevens Osborne, in Monsey, New York. Later, she was lovingly adopted by Hugo Prozeller, after her father passed.

Wife of the late John D. Bumbaco Sr., she worked as a home health aide in Rockland County, NY and as a Janitorial Supervisor in Montvale, NJ for over 20 years.

Predeceased by her son, John D. Bumbaco Jr., 4 siblings, her parents, son-in-law Matthew Staropoli, granddaughter Janine Bumbaco, and grandson-in-law Brandon Tillman.

She is survived by her sister Jean Willis and her husband Albert, her 5 children and their spouses: Hugo (Laurie) Bumbaco of Upper Saddle River, NJ, Byron (Mary) Bumbaco of Hopatcong, NJ, Sandra Staropoli of Leominster, MA, Elizabeth Cummings of Bunnell, FL, and Jeffrey Bumbaco of Albuquerque, NM, as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was a social butterfly who loved going to the Hubbardston Library and being out in nature. She lived in Hubbardston Senior Housing for 19 years, making many friends and getting into mischief. Katherine lived life on her own terms with no regrets. 

Per Katherine’s wishes, there will be no services.
