Karl K. "Knute" Yost, 81, of 349 Parker Street, Gardner died peacefully, Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, surrounded by his family.
Born in Braintree on August 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Howard A. and Mary Elizabeth (Clair) Yost.
Karl was a Production Manager employed by Reservoir Printing of Marlboro for 20 years, retiring in 2006.
He loved all sports, enjoyed bass fishing and all types of dancing.
He leaves his wife of eleven years, Lillian G. (Faria) Yost of Gardner; three sons, Karl "Knute" Yost and his wife Pamela of Holliston, MA, Edward Yost of Milford, Peter Yost and his wife Jean of Medway; one daughter, Bonnie Rabshaw and her husband John of Milford; one sister, Nancy J. Peters of Woodville, MA; four stepsons, Ernest Marchant of Orange, Brian Marchant of Nashua, NH, Barron Marchant of Peterborough, NH and Steven Marchant of Fitchburg; four stepdaughters, Deborah Kirsty and her husband William of Yarmouth, MA, Suzanne Marchant of Nashua, NH, Joanne Marchant of Nashua, NH and Irene Harrington of Peterborough, NH; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Karl was predeceased by one step-grandson, John Fred Marchant.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 19th at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room of Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, 32 Hospital Hill Road, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
Karl's family would like to thank the staff of both Wachusett Manor Nursing Home and Beacon Hospice for their wonderful care.
