Juliette T. (Rioux) Martin, 88, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, April 10, 2017 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in St. Andre, N.B. Canada on July 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Ada (Poitras) Rioux.
Juliette was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation as a stock clerk for 15 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, and its' Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. She was a member of the Golden Agers, and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Canadian Legion.
Juliette enjoyed quilting, knitting, playing Bingo and cribbage. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Juliette was predeceased by her husband, Leonard J. Martin, who died in 1990.
She leaves four sons, Gilles J. Martin and his significant other, Cara Goldsmith of Gardner, Marcel G. Martin and his wife Sally of Gardner, Luc B. Martin and his wife Martha of Gardner, and Lenny P. Martin and his wife Cindy of Gardner; sister-in-law, Alvine Bouchard; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Juliette was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held Thursday, April 13th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, April 13th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
