Julia P. (Shimkunas) Paquin, 90, of Leominster, died peacefully Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Gardner.
Julia was born in Gardner on September 23, 1928, the daughter of the late James and Petionis (Remakis) Shimkunas.
She received her General Education Development (GED) and later attended Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner. Julia was employed for many years by the former Pine Mill of Gardner as an assembler.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner.
Julia enjoyed gardening, watching sports and she loved her cats. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Paquin, who died in 2005.
Julia leaves one son, David J. Paquin and his wife Jo-Ann of Peterborough, NH; one daughter, Janet Paquin of Acton; one granddaughter, Monique Duarte and her husband Brian of Richmond, RI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, James Shimkunas, Jr.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
