Joshua S. "Josh" Perini, 32, of Gardner, died unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, March 17, 2016.
Born in Gardner on January 18, 1984, he was the son of Tina M. (Cormier) of Athol and Robert Perini, Jr.
Josh graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational High School of Fitchburg with the Class of 2002. He earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner in 2005. He later attended the Massachusetts State Police Academy and in 2014 achieved his life-long dream of becoming a Massachusetts State Trooper.
At the time of his death, he was a MA State Trooper out of the Shelburne Falls Barracks. He was previously employed as a Police Officer for Becker College of Worcester.
Josh lived life to the fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hiking, mountain biking and canoeing. He loved spending time with his best friend Sam Troche, sharing the outdoor activities they both loved. He enjoyed spending time with his Pepere working on his car. In Josh's spare time he enjoyed taking long drives and antiquing. He spent many vacations in Bethel, Maine, where he proposed to his wife Stacy. Josh loved American History and shopping online, a master of E-Bay. He was an animal lover, and he and his wife Stacy loved their cats and many rats. Josh treasured spending time with his wife whom he loved dearly and had spent the past 12 years of his life with.
Besides his mother, Josh leaves his soulmate and wife of five years, Stacy A. (Beaulieu) Perini of Gardner; his maternal grandmother, Yvonne Cormier of Gardner; paternal grandparents, Robert L. Perini Sr. and Rosemarie (Leger) Perini of Gardner; two brothers, Jason R. Perini of Gardner and Jeff D. Perini and his significant other, Jessica Tervo of Winchendon; five aunts, Judy LeBlanc, Sue Moore, Nancy Begin, Cathy Cormier and Frances Perini; three uncles, Steven Perini, Kevin Perini and Tim Perini; nieces and nephews, Hannah Lagrassa-Perini, Nathan Marango, Mariah Transue and Kendall Transue.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 25th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Service at 10:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
