Joseph A"Tony" Lahood

Joseph A. "Tony" Lahood, 51, of Leominster, died peacefully Friday, February 2, 2018 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home of Worcester, following a long illness.
Joseph was born in Sierra Leone on July 19, 1966, the son of Anthony J. and Catherine (Amara) Lahood.
He graduated from Helena High School of Sierra Leone with the Class of 1984. Joseph was a technician employed by Plexus Corporation of Ayer for ten years.
He was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
Joseph was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved music, electronics, and tinkering with gadgets. He treasured spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.
Besides his mother, Catherine (Amara) Lahood of Worcester, Joseph leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Isatu (Kamara) Lahood of Leominster; one son, Walter B. Lahood and his wife Natalia of Winchendon; one daughter, Emily F. Lahood of Worcester; three brothers, Edward Lahood and his wife Khadi of VA, Martin Lahood and his wife Melrose of Leicester, and Ambrose Lahood and his wife Mabinti of Sierra Leone; three sisters, Emily Allen and her husband Khazali of Barre, Rosaline Zarr and her husband Moses of Liberia, and Louisa Shour and her husband Adel of Sierra Leone; two grandchildren, Ariana and Olivia Lahood; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 16th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Friday, February 16th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Please reference in memory of Joseph A. Lahood.
