Joseph W. Kalagher, II, 67, of Ashburnham, died peacefully, Saturday, August 8, 2020, in UMass Memorial Health Alliance Hospital, Clinton, after an illness.
Born in Ashburnham on March 10, 1953, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Elvi (Suomela) Kalagher. He was a graduate of Oakmont Regional High School with the Class of 1972, and the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor of Science in Plastic Engineering in 1976. Joseph was the owner of JK PC Service and worked as an on-call Fire Lieutenant for the Ashburnham Fire Department for several years. He was previously employed as a plastic engineer.
Joseph was a member of the Planning Committee in Ashburnham. He loved to go fishing, watching his New England Patriots, and going for walks. But the time that Joseph loved and truly cherished the most was time spent with his family.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 36-years, Karen M. (Galloni) Kalagher of Ashburnham; a half-sister, Judy Pomerleau of Maine; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his sister, Rosemarie Kalagher; and two half-brothers, Bill and Rick Piispanen.
