Joseph A. Fredette, 87, of 1624 Highland Drive, Washington, NC and formerly of 40 Montvale Rd., Gardner, died Wednesday, January 14th in Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home, Washington, NC, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on May 3, 1916, he was the son of Theophile and Eliza (Ledoux) Fredette.
He was a work coordinator employed by Digital Mfg. Co. of Westminster for 12 years, retiring in 1983. He was previously employed by the former Heywood-Wakefield Co. of Gardner for 28 years.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
His wife of 64 years, Yvette C. Allain, died in 2003.
He leaves 2 sons, Ralph H. Fredette of Three Rivers, Francis J. Fredette of Mebane, NC; 1 daughter, Maryann Sharron of Washington, NC; 1 sister, Mary MacDonald of Gardner; 9 grandchildren, 5 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner.

Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Church or Holy Rosary School, 135 Nichols St., Gardner, MA 01440.
