Joseph Andre Bolduc, 93, of 6453 Birch Lane, Lantana, FL, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Medicana Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lake Worth, FL.
He was born in Gardner on November 22, 1917, the son of the late Napoleon and Berthe (Beaudet) Bolduc.
Joseph was a Postal Clerk in the City Gardner for 25 years, retiring in 1977.
He graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1936, and received his Associates Degree in Business Administration from Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner in 1973.
Joseph was a United States WWII Air Force-Army Veteran and received the Good Conduct Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Ovila Case Post 905 of Gardner.
Joseph enjoyed playing golf, traveling and square dancing. He was a fan of baseball and was an avid card player.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Alice L. (Landry) Bolduc of Lantana, FL; three stepsons, Bernard P. Forget and his wife Carolyn J. of Lunenburg, Norman C. Forget, of Hinsdale, NH and Raymond A. Forget and his wife Barbara of Rindge, NH; one sister, Louise Jaillet of Gardner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two nephews, Paul Jaillet and Roger Bolduc. He was predeceased by one brother, Hermas Bolduc and by two sisters, Monique Antil and Antoinette Hill.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Tuesday, October 11th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
