Jordan "Mr. Bi¿½ F. Bruno, 82, of 122 Champagne Rd., Gardner and formerly of Millis, died Tuesday, January 6th in the LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Dedham on August 9, 1921, he was the son of Joseph and Theresa (DelPace) Bruno.
He was a welder employed by General Motors of Framingham for 31 years until retiring in 1979.
Mr. Bruno graduated from Canton High School and was a member of St. Thomas Church in Millis. He was a member of United Auto Workers Retirees Chapter 422 of Framingham. He was a loving grandfather and enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage, and attending dog races.
Mr. Bruno was a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Pauline G. (Hebert) Bruno of Gardner; 3 daughters, Theresa Retecki of Milford, Linda Champagne and her husband Warren Champagne of Millis, and Eileen Mercer and her husband Robert of Pittsfield; 2 stepsons, James M. Goguen of Kingston, NH and Shawn S. Goguen of Worcester; 2 stepdaughters, Pamela M. Reilly of Fitchburg and Cheryl L. Jones of Westminster; 3 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren; 1 stepgreat-grandson; 2 nieces, 2 nephews and several cousins. He was predeceased by a stepson, Gerald A. Goguen, a brother Louis Bruno and a sister Sally Lyons.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
