Jonathan M. "Jon" Landry, 39, of Gardner, died Friday, January 29, 2016 in his residence following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on May 4, 1976, he was the son of Gary J. Landry and Denise A. Jacques.
Jonathan graduated from Gardner High School as the Valedictorian of the Class of 1994. He continued his education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he received a Bachelor's Degree of Health Sciences.
Over the years Jonathan was employed in the IT Department of various local companies. At the time of his death, he was a volunteer at Heywood Hospital of Gardner.
Jonathan was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
He loved spending time writing, hiking and listening to music. He enjoyed going to the movies, working out at the gym and was a huge Star Wars fan. Jonathan's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his son Aidan.
Besides his parents he leaves one son, Aidan J. Whitney and his mother Alison Whitney of Gardner; one sister, Amy Landry-Hibbert of Fitchburg; his step-father, Joseph Richard of Gardner; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 12th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
