Jon M. Moss, 25, of Templeton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Born in Gardner on July 18, 1999, as Jon Michael Haley, aka Cupcake. Jon was the son of Michelle (Guimond) Moss and Mark R. Haley, both of Templeton. His Mother lovingly gave him the name of Cupcake after he had introduced himself as Jon Cupcake. Jon was employed by Growers Merchandising Services as a merchandiser for 5 years for the Gardner Walmart, taking care of the flowers, a job he loved. Jon also worked for his mother’s business, Two Sisters Carpet & Floor Care of Templeton, helping to clean carpets and return calls when she was sick, even sometimes playing checkers with elderly customers.
Jon was a member of the Sons of The American Legion Squadron 373, Baldwinville. He had many loves in his life, including music. From a young age, he would belt out Wham ballads from his car seat. Jon especially loved listening to his father’s vast music collection which greatly fostered his love for music. Jon’s mother went with him to many concert venues so he could see his favorite artists. Jon also had a keen sense of fashion and would often be seen with blue hair, flowered suit jackets and concert t-shirts. Jon always wore the most vibrant footwear. During his high school commencement, he was awarded the best dressed and public speaking awards. Jon had a voice that was recognized for being so deep. He loved being with his dog Yoshi, who chose him and his cat Karma. In Jon’s free time he was an online game slayer. Although Jon’s life was short, he had a kind heart which was a true blessing to everyone he met.
Besides his parents, Jon is survived by his two half-siblings, Amy Goodwin and Jay Haley, paternal grandmother, Janice Lovell. His “Uncle Joe”, God brothers Scott Lunny and Ori Klibansky. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Martin Haley.
