Johnnie W. Bartlett, 67 of Gardner, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, after being stricken ill in his residence.
Born in Gardner on June 20, 1949, he was the son of the late Harold and Margaret Bartlett.
He graduated in 1967 from Hillside High School.
Prior to becoming disabled in 2010, Johnnie worked in the Maintenance Department of Olde English Village of Gardner for several years. He was previously a cab driver for Smiley's Taxi of Gardner.
Johnnie enjoyed doing all types of maintenance work, was a collector of unique items, and loved animals. He treasured spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 24 years, Judy F. (Farr) Bartlett; daughter, Tammy Kennedy and her husband Marcus of LA; step-daughter, Tammy Brewer and her significant other Al Santora of Gardner; three grandchildren, Cory, Scott and Grant Kennedy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves Bobby Aho (whom Johnnie was like a father to) and his wife Missy. Johnnie was one of 15 children, and was predeceased by two sisters, Linda Reynolds and Barbara Garland.
