John T. Robison, 72, of 53 Fisher Street, Baldwinville, died peacefully Monday, July 2, 2012 in his home.
Born in Russellville, Alabama on June 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Bernie Mack and Gladys (Hawkins) Robison.
John was a self-employed finish carpenter for several years, retiring in 2006. In the early to mid 1970's, he was employed by the Gardner Police Department.
John was a United States Vietnam War Army Veteran and received the National Defense Medal, the American forces Expeditionary Medal-Korea and the Good Conduct Medal. He also served in the National Guard from 1957 thru 1958.
He was a member of the First Church of Templeton.
John enjoyed playing golf, watching John Wayne and Western movies on television and doing carpentry work.
He leaves two sons, Timothy R. Hudolin of Pleasant Garden, NC and Thomas T. Robison; two daughters, Donna C. Ward of Haleyville, AL and Linda I. Robison of Baldwinville; one brother, Michael B. Robison and his wife Wanda of Florence, AL; one sister, Judith Ayers of Leighton, AL; one uncle, Cecile Bretherick, his former wife, Geraldine (Marcy) Robison of South Royalston; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, one niece, three nephews and three cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Jerry B. Robison and by one sister, Betty Jo Tyra.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
