John William Radigan, 82, of E. Templeton, died suddenly Sunday, May 27, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital of Worcester, after being stricken ill.
John was born in Templeton on May 31, 1935, the son of the late Juno and Rose (Botman) Radigan. He graduated from the former Templeton High School with the Class 1953.
John was employed by General Electric Company of Fitchburg as a Foreman on the third shift for 37 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a United States Korean War Army Veteran and received the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing; and he was an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #27 of E. Templeton. He was also a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox.
John leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Denise M. (Bour) Radigan of Templeton; three sons, Mark Radigan of E. Templeton, Glen Radigan and his wife Sharon of Templeton, and Gary Radigan of E. Templeton; sister-in-law, Jan Radigan of Deltona, FL; two nieces, Carol Newcomb and Sandy Jackson; and one nephew, Steve Radigan. He was predeceased by his brother, Rudy Radigan; and sister, Ina Eaton.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 8th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
A calling hour will be held Friday, June 8th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
