John M"Jack" Goguen

June 13, 1945 — June 27, 2009

John M. "Jack" Goguen, 64, of 24 Main Street, Westminster, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 27th in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster.

Born in Worcester on June 13, 1945, he was the son of the late Harold and Madelyn (McMullan) Goguen.

Prior to retiring in 2002, John was a teacher at North High School in Worcester for 35 years. He was previously employed by Providence Jr. High School, Worcester.

John was a graduate of St. Peter Marion High School, Worcester with the Class of 1963. He received his Bachelors Degree from Holy Cross College, Worcester in 1967. He received his Master in Mathematics with a Minor in English from Clark University, Worcester.

John was a member of the National Education Association and the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association.

He was an antique dealer who enjoyed antiquing and researching antique glass. John also enjoyed gardening and ethnic cuisine.

John leaves his wife of 17 years, Eileen P. (LeClair) Goguen of Westminster; two daughters, Sandra E. Taskiran and her husband Suleyman of Kerry, Maine and Sheryl L. Duncan and her husband Reuben of Troy, NH; one sister, Carol Ouellette and her husband Raymond of Hastings, FL; three grandsons, Trevor John Goguen, Christopher R. and Patrick M. Duncan; one nephew, Jeremy LeClair; one niece, Sheri Miner; and one grand-niece Isabella Miner.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1st at 9:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday, June 30th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
