John P. Croteau, 52, of 41 Sawyer St., E. Templeton died peacefully Tuesday, June 29th in his residence following an illness.
Born in Gardner on January 26, 1952, he was the son of George J. and Cecilia (Mei) Croteau.
He was a data entry worker employed by Market Intelligence of Hopkinton for 10 years, retiring in 2003 due to illness.
He was a 1970 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School and received a Master of Arts in Education degree from Fitchburg State College in 1983. He also attended Mount Wachusett Community College.
He enjoyed reading.
Mr. Croteau was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran.
He leaves his mother, Cecilia (Mei) Croteau of East Templeton; 2 brothers, Joseph N. Croteau and James P. Croteau both of East Templeton; 5 sisters, Cynthia J. Croteau, Susan J. Bernard and Darlene M. Croteau all of East Templeton, Georgette J. Croteau of Holden, Katherine M. Coppock of Marietta, OH; 2 aunts, Rachel Tresback and Thelma Mei; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis A. Croteau of Gardner who died in 1995.
According to Mr. Croteau's wishes, no funeral services are planned. He has donated his body to the University of MA Medical School.
