John S. Belrose, Jr., 68, of 111 1A Manning St., Jefferson, MA and formerly of Concord, NH died Thursday, June 8th in UMASS Medical Center, Worcester, following a short illness.
Born in Concord, NH on April 10, 1938, he was the son of John S. and Felice (Liberty) Belrose Sr.
He was a 1955 graduate of Concord, NH High School.
At the time of his death he was a self-employed private investigator, founder and president of Am-Co International Investigations. He was a member of INTEL, an International Intelligence Network Association of primarily former Federal Investigators who are now in private practice. He was a member of USAF OSI (Office of Special Investigations), Military Assistance Command in Vietnam Studies & Observation Group. He was attached to Air America CIA Operations in Thailand. He was Director of Security for Burns International Investigations serving in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Iran. During his time in Iran, John worked with SAVAK (Shah of Iran's Secret Police) and was one of the last Americans to leave Iran during the Iran-Hostage Crisis of 1979. He was Vice-President of American International Investigations serving in Latin America, South America, China and Europe. His career has spanned over fifty years of service throughout the world.
John enjoyed working and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962.
He leaves 1 son, John S. Belrose III and wife Denise of Concord, NH; 5 daughters, Barbara Warren-Handt, Debra Redlon both of Concord, NH, Sarah Murphy, Laura Belrose, both of Jefferson, MA, Meredith Belrose of Rindge, NH; 1 brother, Stephen M. Belrose and wife Bea of Concord, NH; 1 sister, Margaret McDonald and husband Jim of Lancaster, CA; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 aunt, Jane Russell of North Palm Beach, FL; 8 nieces, nephews and several cousins. He also leaves his former spouses, Maryann Powers of Concord, NH and Jacqueline E. Feldman of Rindge, NH.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 15th @ 9:30 A.M. in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, NH.
