Joanne A. "Jo" (Richard) Laliberte, 62 of 522 Parker Street, Gardner, formerly of Baker Street, Gardner, died Thursday, November 4, 2010, in her residence following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on July 21, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Bella (Leger) Richard.
Joanne was a Teacher for several years at Montachusett Outreach Center in Fitchburg, retiring in 2000.
She graduated from Marie Joseph Academy in Biddeford, Maine. Joanne was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to Mohegan Sun and loved the ocean. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren.
Joanne leaves her husband of 40 years, Louis R. Laliberte of Gardner; one daughter, Wendy M. Laliberte of Gardner; one sister, Lina Newcomb of Gardner; two grandchildren, Tyler Kulvete and Katreena Larson both of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Annette Richard.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Monday, November 8th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
