Joanne H. (Boucher) Hursey, 63, of Gardner, died suddenly Thursday, January 30, 2020, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after a long illness.
Born in Gardner on June 14, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Marie Lena (Cormier) Boucher.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Joanne enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She always had a smile on her face. Joanne loved to go out and especially loved to travel to new places. She had a courageous personality and was willing to try anything at least once. Joanne was a homemaker who loved and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Joanne is survived by her husband of 45-years Thomas J. Hursey of Gardner; one son Peter T. Hursey and his wife Sarah of Gardner; three sisters, Sr. Mary Francis of Charlotte, NC, Denise Gerroir and her husband John of Templeton, and Julianna Boucher and her significant other Tommy Davis of Gardner; one brother Stephen Boucher of Gardner; two grandchildren Trentin and Marissa Hursey; one sister-in-law Shirley Hursey of Gardner; one brother-in-law Gary Hursey of Gardner; a father-in-law Joseph Bastarache of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by one brother Nyl Boucher.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, at the convenience of the family.
