Joan C. (Bragdon) Esposito, 85, of Ashburnham, died unexpectedly Monday, March 17, 2025, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by her family.
Born in Gardner on May 23, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Schuh) Bragdon. She graduated from Cushing Academy with the Class of 1957. Joan was a floor supervisor employed by Simplex Time Recorder for many years until her retirement.
Joan loved keeping active working in her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking and sharing her famous spaghetti sauce and zucchini bread with family and friends. She also loved birdwatching, especially enjoying the hummingbirds that frequented her many feeders. Her beloved dog, Willow, was her constant companion, and she always made sure she had treats in her pocket for all the families' pets when she was visiting. Joan's greatest love was her family, treasuring all the special times together.
Joan is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Esposito of Ashburnham; three daughters, Cynthia Lefebvre and her husband Nelson of Chepachet, RI, Carlene Comeau and her husband Steven of Gardner, and Christine Bouchard and her husband Carl of Gardner; a son, Thomas Bragdon Esposito of Gardner; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Jacob, Cassandra and Hunter; two great-grandchildren, Kali and Cole, and another baby boy on the way.
She was predeceased by her two sisters, Rosemarie Owler and Kathleen Bragdon.
In accordance with Joan's wishes, there will be no services.
