Jeffrey "Jeff" Anthony Raboin, 51, of Gardner Massachusetts passed away at home on Sunday July 15, 2012.
He was born June 23, 1961 in Fitchburg, MA, the son of Rolland and Elizabeth (Wytrwal) Raboin. Jeffrey graduated from Leominster High School with the Class of 1979.
He was a United States Army Veteran and served three years as a volunteer police officer in Townsend, MA.
Jeffrey had a passion for cars which led to a career in the automotive industry. As a Sales Consultant for 25 years, he was recognized numerous times for top sales, undoubtedly the result of his remarkable knowledge of cars and social personality. In 1980, he married Cheryl (Creighton) Raboin and together they raised 3 successful children in Lancaster, MA. Sadly in 1994 he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which gradually took away his ability to do many of the activities he cherished, from water skiing, boating, and snowmobiling, to flying planes, riding motorcycles, working on cars and doing home repairs. His most treasured times were spent with his family who loved him and will miss him deeply.
Jeffrey is survived by his proud mother, Elizabeth (Wytrwal) Raboin of Leominster, MA; one sister, Suzanne Lafrenier of Templeton, MA; one brother, David Raboin of Stafford, VA; his former wife, Cheryl Raboin, of Lancaster MA; two daughters, Leah Vincent and her husband Brian of Dudley, NC and Cynthia Lamarche and her husband Andrew of Westminster, MA; one son, Zachary Raboin of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Wyatt Vincent and Lilyana Lamarche; one niece Sophia Lafrenier; four nephews, Alexander Raboin, Jonathan Raboin, Philip Raboin, and Eric Lafrenier; three uncles, Robert (Sydney) Vitrwal of Barnstable, MA, Roger(Barbara) Raboin of Lunenburg, MA, Raymond (Jane) of Rochdale, MA; two aunts Lorraine Gagne of Worcester, MA and Pauline(Roger) Gagne of Leominster, MA; numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA on July 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private and held at a later date in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 GlenAllen Street, Winchendon, MA.
