Jeffrey C. "Jeff" Elsmore, 52, of 16 Nichols Street, Gardner died unexpectedly Monday, January 17, 2011 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Jeff was born in Brockton on November 21, 1958, the son of the late Roy D. and Valerie (Beverly) Elsmore.
He attended Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham.
Jeff was a United States Army Veteran, and received the Parachute Badge and the Sharpshooter Badge M-16 Rifle.
At the time of his death he was a self-employed handyman. He was previously employed by H & R 1871 Company of Gardner.
Jeff was a member of People's Church in Ashburnham. He was also a member of the Turnpike Rod and Gun Club of Ashburnham and a social member of the American Legion Post 142 of Ashburnham.
Jeff enjoyed fishing, boating with friends and tree climbing. He loved his dog Pepper. Jeff was a very giving and charitable man, and was always willing to help his friends with projects.
He leaves his life partner, Karen A. Bourgeois of Gardner; one son, Richard; one brother, Wayne D. Elsmore of Leominster; one sister, Linda A. (Elsmore) Lehman of Westminster; one niece Samantha Roy LeBlanc; several aunts and uncles; and many great friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Elsmore.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is handling the arrangements.
