Jeannette C. "Jan" (Malo) Sadin, 88, of 125 Connors St., Gardner, died Sunday, May 22nd in The Highlands, Fitchburg, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on August 7, 1916, she was the daughter of Charles and Emma (Cormier) Malo.
She was a clerical worker employed by Simplex Time Recorder Co. of Gardner for several years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. She belonged to Gardner Golden Agers and A.A.R.P. She enjoyed reading, making dolls, arts and crafts.
Her husband of 39 years, Sulo O. Sadin died in 1973.
She leaves 2 sons, Thomas N. Sadin and wife Patricia of Savoy, James H. Sadin and wife Cynthia of Ashburnham; 3 brothers, Alvin Malo and Paul Malo both of Leominster, and Donald Malo of Wareham; 1 sister, Lorraine Ledden of Townsend; 3 grandchildren Scott, James and Thomas Sadin; 2 great-grandchildren Amanda and David Sadin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a brother Armand Malo of Florida, a sister Viola Osborne of Townsend and a longtime companion, Stanley Yablonski of Gardner.
At her request, her body has been donated to science. There are no funeral services and no calling hours. A graveside service in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner, will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
The Boucher Funeral Home, Inc. 110 Nichols St., Gardner, is in charge of arrangements.
