Jeannette M. Lavigne

Jeannette M. (Arsenault) Lavigne, 82, of 116 Church St., Gardner died unexpectedly Saturday, December 18th in her residence.
Born in Gardner on February 6, 1922, she was the daughter of Arthur and Albina (Bourgeois) Arsenault.
She was an employee of Gardner State Hospital and Worcester State Hospital for 20 years, retiring several years ago.
Mrs. Lavigne was a 1940 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
She was a member of Women's Auxillary V.F.W. Ovila Case Post 905 of Gardner, Women's Auxillary American Legion Post 129 of Gardner where she served as past President, CAC Volunteer for the annual Christmas Party and the Cancer Run of Athol. She enjoyed camping, bowling, crocheting, knitting and playing Beano.
Her husband, Joseph Lavigne, died in 1984.
She leaves 2 daughters, Carolyn M. Fournier of Winchendon, Patricia A. Nordman and husband Kevin of Baldwinville; 1 sister, Claire Meehan of Gardner; 11 grandchildren, Ann Champagne, Kevin Woodward, Joseph Fournier, all of Winchendon; Michael Woodward of Whitinsville, Richard Woodward of Gardner; Tracy Aldestin of Lunenburg, Cathy Casavant of Royalston, Jaylene Terminello of Middletown, CT, Danica Fournier of Saco, ME, Peter Nordman of Watertown and Jared Nordman of Somerville; 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-greatgrandsons; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a brother Paul Arsenault, a sister Theresa Arsenault both of Gardner and a son-in-law, Robert Fournier of Winchendon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21st @ 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, December 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, December 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6 Strathmore Rd., Natick, MA 01760 or to Gardner Visiting Nursing Assn., Hospice Program, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
