Jeannette M. “JJ” (Dubuque) Harmon, 78, of Gardner, MA, died peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2020, with her sisters by her side, after a long illness in the West Roxbury VA Medical Center, West Roxbury, MA.
Born in Gardner on November 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Stanislas and Germaine (Fluet) Dubuque. Jeannette attended Gardner High School. She was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1960 to 1963. While in the Army she was stationed at Ft. Belvoir, VA, and overseas in France. After her tour of duty she relocated to California and attended Los Angeles City College, CA, and worked at the Culver City Hospital in Culver City, CA. She relocated to Gardner, MA, in 1973 and was employed by Pultorak Insurance Company of Gardner.
Jeannette was a member of the Gardner Senior Center. She loved playing cards, dancing, travelling, and going to yard sales throughout the area. But the time she treasured and loved the most was spent with her siblings and their children.
Jeannette is survived by two brothers Arthur Dubuque and his wife Elaine of North Port, FL, and Fitchburg, MA; and Ernest Dubuque and his wife Cindy of Cape Coral, FL; three sisters, Elaine Garcia and her husband Richard of Colorado Springs, CO; Patricia LeBlanc of Lakewood Ranch, FL; and Christine Dubuque of Gardner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 2:00 p.m in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
