Jeannette Y. Beland

Jeannette Y. (Belliveau) Beland, 83, of Leominster, formerly of Templeton, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in UMass Memorial HeathAlliance Hospital, Leominster, after an illness.

Born in Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada, on August 27, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ulysse and Anna (Donelle) Belliveau. She graduated from Sisters of Mercy High School and attended Oulton Business College in Moncton, NB, Canada. Jeanette later received her certificate to become a certified nurse aide through Mount Wachusett Community College. Jeannette was a CNA for several area healthcare businesses for numerous years before she retired at age 70.

Jeannette was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at its Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and knitting various items for family and friends. Jeannette loved to travel to holy sites throughout the world, visiting Lourdes, Fatima, Israel, and Rome. Her real treasure and joy of her life was her family, cherishing all the special moments together.

Jeannette is survived by her three daughters, Louise A. Hochard of Leominster, Laurie J. Beland of Gardner and Sherry L. Veilleux and her husband Jacques of Rindge, NH; a son, John M. Beland and his wife Lauren of Leominster; eight grandchildren, Melinda and Jacob Hochard, Arthur Meszynski, Sebastian, Maya and Benjamin Beland, Forrest, Emma and Jude Veilleux; one great-grandchild, Isabella Lucier; a sister Anita Gallant of Shediac, NB, Canada; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Gerard F. Beland, who died in 2007; a sister, Simone Andrus of Leominster; and her brother, Camille Belliveau of Shediac, NB, Canada.

A Calling Hour will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will be held follow from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

Burial will be held Monday, November 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
