Jeanne Nadeau

July 21, 1913 — May 25, 2007

Jeanne (Gaudet) Nadeau, 93, of 8 Nadeau St., Gardner, died peacefully May 25th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.

She was born in New Brunswick, Canada on July 21, 1913, the daughter of John and Fidele (Saulnier) Gaudet.

Mrs. Nadeau was a stitcher employed by Bettez and Laroche for several years, retiring in 1973. She was previously employed by Custom and Modern Manufacturing Company.

Jeanne graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1931.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and traveling.

Jeanne was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, C. Edmond Nadeau, who died in 1984.

She leaves a son, Normand O. Nadeau of Gardner; a daughter-in-law, Gwendolyn J. Nadeau of Houston, TX; 3 grandchildren, Frank Abernathy, Edmond Nadeau, and Shannon Larson all of Houston, TX; 7 great-grandchildren, Petty Officer 3rd Class Jonathan Zamarripa of Tinker, AFB, OK, Keith Conrad and Emillio Zamarripa of Hardin, TX, Amanda Johnson of Portland, OR, Sara Abernathy of Boulder, CO, Deana and Preston Abernathy of Brownwood, TX. She was predeceased by a son, Conrad (Mike) J. Nadeau who died May 19, 2006 in Houston, TX.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Thursday, May 31st from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
