Jeanne H. Jalbert

Jeanne H. (Plourde) Jalbert , 80, of 50 Pine Street, Gardner died peacefully January 3, 2013 in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol surrounded by her family following a brief illness.
Born in St. Joseph, N.B. Canada on August 31, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Cleophas and Euphemie (Morency) Plourde.
Prior to retiring in 1994, she was an inspector employed by Nichols and Stone Company of Gardner for 16 years.
Jeanne was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.
She enjoyed playing cards and watching wrestling on television.
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Donald Y. Jalbert, who died March 28, 1994.
She leaves one son, James N. Jalbert and his wife Donna of Orange; one sister, Fernande Bourque of GA; four grandchildren, Joey Jalbert, Matthew Morris, Ranae Morris and Nicole Buteau; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Gille G. Jalbert who died in 2001 and by one brother, Eino Plourde.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Monday, January 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
