Jeanne R. (Allain) Hetnik, 96, of Baldwinville, died peacefully Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Baldwinville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after living a long fulfilling life.
Jeanne was born in Gardner on June 9, 1920, the daughter of the late Calixte and Emma (LeBlanc) Allain.
She was a former member of St. Martin's Church of Otter River and St. Joseph's Church of Gardner.
Jeanne enjoyed knitting, blueberry picking and mushrooming. She enjoyed taking trips with Wilson Bus Lines, and she loved spending time traveling to visit her family.
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Chester Hetnik, who died September 24, 1981.
She leaves two brothers, Norman J. Allain of Gardner and Donald J. Allain and his wife Claire of Woodbridge, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeanne was predeceased by three brothers, Andrew, Edward and Joseph Allain; and by one sister, Alfreda Ladroga.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 27th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, April 27th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
