Jean E. (Tucker) Prophet, 70, of Gardner, died on Thursday, October 12, 2023, after a brief illness.
Jean E. leaves a daughter, Prudence (Morris) Drolet and her husband Christopher of Bowling Green, OH; a son, Michael Prophet and his wife Emma Phillips of Gardner; three grandchildren, Evelyn, Samuel and his wife Nicole, and Andrew Drolet; a brother, Lawrence Tucker; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kevin Prophet; a sister, Janice Tucker; and a brother, Maurice Tucker, Jr.
Jean E. was born in Winchester to the late Maurice and Jessie (Campbell) Tucker on November 27, 1952. She graduated from Seaholm High School in Birmingham, MI, Class of 1970. She also received an Associates Degree from Oakland Community College in Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree in sociology from Fitchburg State College. Jean E. spent most of her life living in Massachusetts, but also spent time in Michigan during her twenties and lived in Florida and Maine after retiring. She held many different jobs over the course of her life, including working as a waitress, post office employee, retail worker, newspaper delivery person, columnist, school bus driver, residential counselor, and job coach.
Jean E. will be fondly remembered for her cheerful attitude and infectious laugh. Her positive energy and spirituality helped her to bring love and joy to the lives of everyone who she met.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date.
