Janice M. (Hanks) Farnsworth, 74, of 71 Lake Street, Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Winchendon on April 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Doris (Boisse) Hanks.
Janice was employed by Heywood Wakefield Company of Gardner as an assembler for many years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
Janice's greatest pleasures came from dancing, bowling and walking. She enjoyed having coffee at the Paramount with her friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves one son, Frederick Farnsworth, Jr of Gardner; two brothers, Kenneth Hanks and his wife Anita of Gardner and Edward Hanks and his wife Debra of Athol; three grandchildren, Andrew, David and Vicki Farnsworth; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Keith and John Farnsworth; three brothers, Francis, Richard and Wayne Hanks; one sister, Nancy Clavette; and by her grandson, Alex Farnsworth.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, September 25th at 1:30 p.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
